It’s a brand-new era, so prepare for the truly immersive experience of Bestival 2017. Announcing four incredible headliners and a huge bill of amazing music, Bestival are entering a new chapter of light and sound, exploring the wonders of Colour on a mission to increase the peace this 7th – 10th September at the Lulworth Estate, Dorset.
The biggest news for the festival in 2017 is that it is moving location. Rather than having the festival slap bang in the middle of the Isle of Wight, organisers have changed up location, and will now house the 4 day even in Dorset. Personally, we can only see this as a good thing as you won’t have to endure the pilgrimage across ferries and buses to set up camp and begin the festivities.
Rob da Bank says: “Well what an adventure this promises to be… we have a beautiful new home with a massive castle in the middle of it, acres of beautiful woodland and forest, a sea view and the dramatic Jurassic coastline. Going back to our roots with Josie da Bank’s hand-drawn artwork, reviving all our favourite stages from 14 years of Bestival history and going out with all our headliners for the first time ever together, we’re pretty excited at Bestival HQ. From pop to grime, hip-hop to techno, folk to classical and every style in between we are reclaiming our place as the funnest, most adventurous, musically savvy and downright magical festival on the map. Please come along for the ride. and remember Increase the Peace”
Check out the initial Bestival 2017 line-up below, featuring UK festival exclusives and brand new stages:
So far the line up is absolutely bursting with variety. Organisers have obviously listened to the feedback they received from last years event and have gone all out with a huge assortment of acts. 80s pop sensations, jungle legends, indie frontmen, hip hop heroes and just about everything you could possibly want in-between. The addition of new stages including The Castle Stage and The Box should have old and new fans brimming with excitement.
Making it’s UK debut at Bestival 2017, the Temple. Featuring lasers, insane lighting and out of this world pyrotechnics, plus a line-up including Annie Mac ANDY C Maceo Plex Jackmaster Kölsch Dusky Agoria Patrick Topping and many more still to be announced, the Temple stage is joining Lulworth Castle all the way from Bestival Toronto!
This is by no means the final line up, but it’s already shaping up to be an extremely tempting offer.
We’ll keep you updated with any fresh news from the guys over at Bestival HQ.
