Anybody for grime?
If you’re in London on Friday 11th and you answered yes to that question, there’s only really one place you should be checking out. Birthdays in Dalston is welcoming none other than grime extraordinaire and bass heavy connoisseur, Murlo. Packed to the rafter with an enticing host of guests, this debut return is sure to attract an energetic crowd.
Legendary producer, DJ and visual artist Murlo will take to the decks for the summer’s first Smoke Room Session. Having captured the imagination of the UK underground with his unique brand of intricate, colourful dance music, the Midlands-based producer will bring his signature bounce to the party.
Sharing the stage there’s set to be three more astute artists lined up. In-keeping with pushing boundaries of UK bass culture, resident Pit legend, Darkstepper, aims to bring fresh and innovative sounds to her sets. With her extensive knowledge of genres and love for music, expect anything from Future Beats to experimental R’n’B.
Radar Radio resident, Boiler Room regular and More Time Records founder, Ahadadream, will be providing the UK Funky. His latest release ‘Movements’ has just dropped, so head down to catch one of the first live UK performances. Expect rippling percussion and radical melodies.
Following a Beats 1 takeover in June, be sure to head down early for Grime and Dubstep 3-deck specialist, Neffa-T.
